The Industrial Union’s award-winning mobile app expands with new agreement sectors and a new name
The Industrial Union’s award-winning mobile app makes key rights and responsibilities in working life understandable to as many people as possible – clearly, accessibly, and in ten different languages. It supports both employees and employers in their day-to-day work and fosters mutual understanding and fair practices in the workplace.
The app will take a major leap forward in spring 2026. The update will introduce six new agreement sectors, along with general improvements and a new version number, 4.0.0. At the same time, the app will be renamed: the app previously known as Teollisuusliiton Hermes will now be called Teollisuusliitto.
The reason for the name change is the continued expansion of the app, with the new name better reflecting its broadened scope. The renaming will also clarify our service offering and strengthen the Industrial Union’s brand.
An award-winning showcase of digitalization and social responsibility
The Teollisuusliitto app has become a leading example of digital innovation and social responsibility within the trade union movement, receiving praise for its clarity of effectiveness. The app has received the Kansan Sivistysrahasto’s award for developing working life, recognizing its role in combating the grey economy and preventing labour exploitation, among other achievements.
Thanks to its multilingual features, the app facilitates communication between employees and employers who do not share a common language. It also provides valuable guidance for employees who have moved to Finland, as well as for young people entering the workforce and anyone unfamiliar with the collective agreement in their sector.
Expansion continues: Six new agreement sectors
The new version of the app introduces six new agreement sectors, all accessible immediately in multiple languages.
New agreement sectors and their language versions:
