New company-specific collective agreement for UPM Plywood – Strikes and other industrial action will end
The Industrial Union and UPM Plywood Oy have concluded a new company-specific collective agreement. The new agreement period is valid from 9 May 2025 to 31 December 2027.
The agreement is company-specific in nature, and its content is therefore not public. The Industrial Union will inform its members covered by the agreement about the new agreement as soon as possible.
The strikes at UPM Plywood that began on 3 March 2025 and all other industrial action declared by the Industrial Union will end with the agreement.
The Industrial Union’s chief negotiator and sector director Katariina Stoor thanks the employees of UPM Plywood for their perseverance and courage in the prolonged industrial action.
– The persistent and courageous fight of the employees of UPM Plywood to obtain a fair wage settlement was not in vain. Without their contribution, the solution would have been very different, says Stoor.
The Industrial Union has concluded more than 80 company-specific collective agreements in the mechanical forest industry sector during autumn 2024 and spring 2025.
